How pest licences differ in the US and Australia

In the United States, the EPA says a firm offering pest control must be licensed by your state. Ask to see the licence. If you are unsure, call your state pesticide regulatory agency. There is no single US lookup on this site, because the EPA does not provide one national register for every state.

Australia is not one licence either. In New South Wales, the EPA issues pest management technician licences and publishes a register you can search by name or number. Ask to see the photo card and check the expiry date. In Western Australia, HealthyWA says the business must be registered with the Department of Health and the treatment must be done by a licensed technician. In South Australia, SA Health says it is the only body that issues the pest controller licence, and it publishes a look-up.

For any other Australian state, use that state's health or environment agency. This page has not checked those pages, and it will not guess the agency.
